Background and Experience
Jamie was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney on a golf scholarship. After transferring to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he graduated cum laude with a Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance & Economics. He achieved the “student of the year” honor in 2000. After college, he played as a touring golf professional for five years on the NGA/Hooters Tour, Moonlight and Buy.Com Tours. He then managed four different multimillion dollar hospitality businesses that provided high quality service to clients for six years. Most recently, Jamie attained a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Management and Leadership Development from Jacksonville University. He was honored with the “Most Outstanding Student” award in the Executive Master of Business Administration department in 2018. Jamie joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010 and began his career helping clients manage their wealth confidently. With an emphasis on continuing education and his passion for providing the best possible solutions for his clients, Jamie earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner designation. Jamie was named as one of the 2022 Wells Fargo Advisors “Platinum Council Advisor”. The Platinum Council distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients.
Away from the office
Jamie is an active member of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. Positions he has held are President of the South Council, South Council Board Member, Health Council Board Member and All Councils Leadership Team President. He’s been a member of the Board of Governors, Education and Workforce Committee, JAXUSA Economic Development Committee, Public Policy Committee, and Trustees in the Jax Chamber. For his involvement in the Saint John’s County Chamber of Commerce, he was awarded the Pat Morgan Outstanding Member Award in 2012 and graduated with the Saint John’s County Leadership class of 2015. In 2014, Jamie founded JAX Trailblazers, Inc., a networking group that promotes the services of its members to small and mid-size businesses, where he currently holds the title of President. Over the years, Jamie has devoted much of his time to local organizations and charities such as: First Tee, Junior Achievement, The Community Foundation, CHILD Cancer Fund, North Florida Land Trust, and Teach for America. In 2012, he was awarded the Volunteer Service Award by Wells Fargo. Currently Jamie is a member of the JAX Chamber, Financial Planning Association, and the Estate Planning Council of Northeast Florida.
