As a Financial Advisor, I provide wealth management advice to individuals, trust, retirement plans, charitable organizations and businesses. Through a long-term approach, I assist clients in developing and implementing strategies designed to help them build wealth and realize their goals. My mission is to provide objective and timely financial advice and guidance - with a high level of professional service - in building and preserving wealth for my clients.

Background & experience

I have helped clients develop strategies to meet their specific needs and goals for over 17 years.  I have experience in major shifts in the markets and understand the importance of communication through all market cycles.  I  hold a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University.  I have also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® practitioner certification.  For this certification, I had to complete approved educational programs, pass rigorous examinations and meet stringent experience requirements.

Away from the office

Active in the local community, I participate in many civic and community organizations.  I have been the past executive director of the Pottsboro Chamber of Commerce where I served as Treasurer for 3 years.  I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family.  My wife Kristin and I have two children, Bryson and Lincoln.

Focus

My main focus with clients is to identify financial goals and work side by side to help them achieve that goal. Through comprehensive investment planning, I take great pride in helping a client retire on their terms, being able to fully fund their child’s education, or seeing them purchase their dream home. If a working relationship is established, I will work with you to organize all of your financial assets and liabilities and build a plan to help you achieve your goals.

For over 19 years, I’ve had the opportunity and pleasure to help clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. With extensive experience throughout major shifts in the markets and economy, I’ve dedicated my career to delivering the personalized investment planning services my clients deserve.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, I was a Vice President of Investments at Raymond James. In 2014, I decided to move my practice to Wells Fargo Advisors in order to offer a holistic approach to providing personalized financial advice for individuals, families, and business entities. Being a firm believer in continuing education, I frequently attend meetings, conferences, and continuing education courses to enhance the client experience. I currently hold the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, Insurance license, and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist certification.

Away from the office

I have a great love for sports including being an avid golfer and passionate Dallas Cowboys fan. I enjoy playing golf with friends, family, and clients. My community activities involve being the outing Board President of the Boys and Girls Club of Sherman and board member of House of Eli, a transitional home for young men previously incarcerated, homeless or aging out of foster care. I’m very passionate about helping kids in the community. My wife Kelly and I have 2 daughters, Emily and Sydney. We attend Post Oak Fellowship and enjoy participating in community projects with our church family.

My aim is to be an essential resource in helping my clients achieve both personal and financial goals.  My process is designed to deeply understand clients through thoughtful questioning and active listening to better understand their values and goals.  I work collaboratively with clients to help make their desired financial future a reality and remove the anxiety of going it alone.  My process of ongoing client accountability is intended to create and maintain confidence in the progress they make.  I strive to create a culture where clients experience the freedom of feeling confident in their financial lives with the goal of being positioned to enjoy the greatest fruitfulness of life.  My approach is focused on moving clients toward living within their ideal value system.

Background & experience

I joined Wells Fargo Advisors in November of 2016 after 9 years with Merrill Lynch.  Prior to Merrill Lynch, I represented A. G. Edwards for 6 years and Farm Bureau Insurance for 20 years where I was the Sherman, Texas manager.  My years with Farm Bureau allowed me and my family to travel the world to visit such places as Russia, China, Hong Kong, Spain, London, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, France and Germany.  I have developed and presented training seminars for the insurance industry and Christian organizations for many years. My previous experience includes the grocery, restaurant and meat market businesses, as well as, antiques, metal sculpture and real estate.  Being self-employed most of my life has given me an understanding of the value and struggles of small business. 

Away from the office

I was raised in Ropesville, Texas, a small West Texas town with a population of 475.  My years in Ropesville have given me a sense of the impact that community can have on the lives of people.  I served as Mayor Pro-Tem at age 21 and developed a citizen’s action committee to clean and develop programs to meet the needs of the community.  My wife Debbie and I have been married 45 years and live in Pottsboro, Texas.  We have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.  My greatest focus and desire is to mentor and encourage others toward personal growth and development so they can live a fulfilling life within their ideal value system.

Joining in July 2022, I am the newest member of Sandlin Gladen Kimberlin Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. I am excited to join the team to help deliver proactive service to existing and prospective clients.  I am driven to deliver impeccable personal service —focused on the total client experience. I will be responsible for assisting the group’s clients, managing the team’s social media presence, and supporting operational and administrative needs.


Background and experience

I spent 15 years at Grayson College in Denison, most recently as the Continuing Education Director. I oversaw the workforce education certificate training programs, professional development, and personal enrichment for youth summer camps and senior citizen community education.

In 2020 I obtained my Masters of Science from Texas A&M University in Organization, Learning and Technology. My school pride lies with the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Lubbock, earning two degrees, a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and Management.

I passed the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials exam in July 2023.


Away from the Office

Giving back to my community is extremely important to me. I currently serve on the Locust Volunteer Fire Department Board. I am past President and Charity Ball Chair for Sherman Service League. I have also served on the Pottsboro Kids Club and Pottsboro ISD Education Foundation Boards.

My husband, Matt, and I have two boys, Hudson and Case. We reside in Pottsboro, although Houston will always be my hometown! We spend most of our time chauffeuring our kids to various events/ activities. They are very active in sports- baseball, basketball, football and cross country. They also raise and show cattle for Pottsboro FFA. We enjoy getting out on Lake Texoma whenever we have a free weekend!
