Meet Our Team

Seaman McKinney Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors
A family dynamic is one of the differences that sets Seaman/McKinney Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors apart from other financial advisory teams. With Robert J. “Bob” Seaman, son-in-law Chace McKinney, and daughter Leah McKinney, our clients can benefit from two generations, years of experience and our diverse points of view. The goal is for clients to feel like we are an extension of their family and trust us when it comes to creating solid financial strategies.
We focus on each individual client and know that everyone has different needs and goals. Whether you are interested in passing on your wealth, preparing for retirement or preserving your family for the future, our team can create a tailor-made solution to fit the objective. Each of our clients gets the same diligent research and professional service no matter if they’re just starting out or have a lifetime of savings.
After our first meeting, we gather recommendations and build a strategy. Then, we make adjustments as life changes and the market moves. When suggesting solutions, we put ourselves in their shoes and make decisions that we believe are good for the client. This approach includes clear and valuable communications around transactions and time to get to know each other. We see education, information and follow-through as part of our process and encourage our clients to ask questions and learn about their portfolios.
Our objective is to have clients that are with us for the long term and who see us as an integral part of their financial—and life—decisions. Through it all, we treat our clients like we want to be treated; with dignity, respect and integrity.

(330) 491-1200I started in the financial business with my father and now have 40+ years of experience and knowledge to help my clients at the Seaman/McKinney Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, a third generation of investment planning practice. I feel my current clients know they can count on me when they need information regarding everything from wealth management and asset allocation to retirement strategies. I work to assist them in meeting short- and long-term goals and over the years, I’ve built solid relationships which continue to grow with my business.
For me, investing is not just a single track. I help people look at the 360º picture and approach decisions this way. Clients often run ideas by me as a chance to get a different point of view and they know I will give them my honest opinion. I make sure that I am available to my clients and keep in touch with meetings and check-ins. I believe when I can help with questions or issues, I know I’m making a difference in a client’s life.
I’m also excited to work with the new generation of investors. It’s energizing to see them starting out with careers and families. I want to assist them as they look to achieving their financial goals and dreams through strategic use of tools and products that can help them now and serve them in the future.
I believe in contributing to my community through volunteering and financial support. I am currently on the board at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Habitat for Humanity and the Louisville YMCA. I am surrounded by my loving wife, Jill and my family, including 7 grandchildren.

Asking the right questions, along with finding a balance between saving today and enjoying tomorrow, are two approaches I use when assisting my clients. As a financial advisor with the Seaman/McKinney Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, I understand that people have different experiences and comfort levels with money, and I work toward making sure I find a sound course of action for each individual.
My financial strategies are designed for each client, with portfolios created to consider everything from goals and lifestyle to health costs and tax implications1. I work with clients to help achieve their objectives, whether that means education for grandchildren, passing on wealth, or simply a comfortable retirement.
I was able to travel the world through basketball, lastly with the Harlem Globetrotters, which gave me the opportunity to meet and build relationships with people from all walks of life. Finances were the one consistent priority with almost every person I encountered and that cultivated my passion for helping people with similar concerns.
My clients, who range from business professionals and athletes to teachers and doctors, appreciate the tools and resources that I can provide. I enjoy getting to know each client and their families so that I can help them make decisions toward achieving their goals and dreams. My hope is that they feel more confident about their finances as we work together.
I’m proud to say that I work with both my wife and father-in-law, and our commitment to our clients is a true family value. In my time away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and following college and professional sports. I am currently on the board for Aultman College and am certified as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®)).
