His team’s personalized multi-step planning-based approach provides an easy and effective way to identify clients’ highest priorities and develop customized investment strategies designed to provide the wealth they need in order to live the lifestyle they envision.

Dave is a United States Navy, Persian Gulf War Veteran and his service helped shape his perspectives and reinforce the principles of personal accountability and accomplishing shared goals. After serving our country, Dave attended and graduated from Niagara University in 1997 with a B.S. in Economics and began his career as a Financial Advisor.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019, Dave spent eleven years with Morgan Stanley (Dean Witter/Smith Barney) and Merrill Lynch for an additional eleven years in the role of financial advisor and served as Branch Manager on three occasions. Dave is a Senior Private Investment Management (PIM^®) Portfolio Manager. This select group of advisors are qualified to manage client portfolios on a discretionary basis.


Away from the office
Dave and his wife Kelli are proud parents of four who definitely keep them active. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and pursuing numerous outdoor activities. He believes strongly in giving back to his community and has done so by volunteering time to multiple local non-profit organizations including AYSO, SDA Utica, the Rising Stars SC, the Deputy Kurt B. Wyman organization, and the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area.

Process and background
Doug began his wealth management career with the Sherline Group in 2008 in the role of direct client support while affiliated first with Smith Barney and later Merrill Lynch. He also served as a financial analyst for a year with the Goldman Sachs affiliate, The Ayco Company.

Now with Wells Fargo Advisors, he currently serves the Sherline Group in building client net worth statements, retirement plans, asset allocation analyses, trade execution, and handling day-to-day maintenance for the professionally managed investment portfolios.  Doug’s talent with the analytics and his ease in communicating with clients has made in a respected financial advisor. 

Doug has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional designation. He has completed hundreds of hours of rigorous courses and examinations followed by a 10-hour comprehensive examination administered according to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The qualification process is comprehensive array of advice and skill-based approach that distinguishes CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® practitioners from other professional advisors, who typically focus on only one area of a client's financial life.

Graduating in 2007 from Siena College, Doug earned his B.S. in Finance. He currently holds both the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations and licensed to provide life insurance and annuity strategies.

 
Away from the office
Doug and his wife, Brittany, have three children – Bradley, Elliana and Annalise. He serves on the board of the Donny Dudley Tennis Foundation and volunteers annually at the Donny Dudley Tennis Foundation Memorial Tennis Tournament.  When he is not working, Doug enjoys spending his time with his family, rooting on his favorite sports teams, and taking care of his vegetable and flower gardens.

Background and experience

Sue began her career in the financial services industry in 1999 working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and later with Merrill Lynch as a Senior Client Associate.  Sue joined Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019 continuing her role with The Sherline Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.

She has over two decades of financial services experience and is the team’s primary point of client contact for administrative and operations requests.  Her attention to detail and commitment to exceptional client service has made her an asset to The Sherline Group. A genuine people person, and a helper at heart, Sue works diligently on the front lines and behind-the-scenes to deliver exceptional service while working to make every client feel part of the family.


Away from the office

Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, Nathan and two daughters. She likes skiing, running, biking and can typically be found at the soccer field with one or both of her girls.
