Client Service Process

Gary J. Swartz, Jr. believes a well thought-out investment plan should serve as the foundation of your long-term business relationship with him. Using advanced technology and skills developed in the business, he can analyze your current financial situation and offer possible ways to improve it. Gary uses a four-step process to design your customized investment plan.

We believe an effective relationship requires mutual commitment.

Our team allocates assets among the major classes of cash, stocks, bonds and alternative investments. We further divide securities into growth and value styles. Bonds are allocated by short, intermediate and long-term duration. By blending these various asset classes, we seek to remove emotion and optimize investment returns.*

*There can be no guarantees objectives will be met. Asset allocation cannot eliminate the risk of fluctuating prices and uncertain returns.

Our recommendations and client portfolios are customized to address the amount and timing of cash flow needs, risk reduction, tax considerations and market conditions. Investment decisions are based on the client’s objectives. Through that objective-driven process, crucial factors such as appropriate levels of risk and return are derived and optimized.

Investment Process

1. Understand your goals

Gary conducts a personal interview with you to obtain the background data needed to develop your plan. If appropriate, he also consults with other professional advisors, including your attorney and tax advisor, to understand all the pertinent details of your financial circumstances. Recommendations and client portfolios are customized to address the amount and timing of cash flow needs, risk reduction, tax considerations and market conditions. Investment decisions are based on your objectives. Through this objective-driven process, crucial factors such as appropriate levels of risk and return are derived and optimized.

2. Develop a plan

Your second meeting with Gary is designed to develop a shared vision of your dreams and review his proposed customized investment plan. In developing this plan Gary will seek strategies that help reduce the effect of income taxes on your portfolio. He will also work with your other professionals to ensure your investment plan is fully aligned with your objectives.

During your meeting, Gary will review a comprehensive presentation in one easy-to-digest report for your consideration. You will have the opportunity to raise questions and confirm his interpretation of your investment goals. After this process, Gary will review specific investment recommendations for your approval.

3. Implement recommendations

At this point, Gary will execute the investment recommendations based on your approved plan and in conjunction with your tax, legal or other professionals. He will focus on appropriate allocation of your assets to help optimize returns, selecting appropriate instruments and portfolio managers, and negotiating fees on your behalf.

4. Evaluate progress

Investment plans, like all goals, require ongoing maintenance to help ensure optimal performance and achievement. Your plan will be reviewed regularly, and the allocations within your portfolio will be rebalanced as necessary based on changes in the markets or your life. Once your plan is in place, you will receive monthly statements, quarterly valuations of your portfolio and an annual tax summary.
*Asset allocation does not guarantee a profit or protect against loss in a declining market.
