Ryan is the founding partner of the Alexandria Wealth Management Group. He focuses on helping clients build, preserve, protect and transfer their wealth through multiple generations. He uses professional asset managers and risk based asset allocation strategies to help his clients achieve their financial goals.

For over 20 years Ryan has had the privilege of being a trusted financial advisor to families and institutions. His passion and dedication to helping others plan for their financial future has resulted in many industry accomplishments. In 2019 and prior years Ryan has been named one of Forbes America’s Top Wealth Advisors1, Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors2 and one of America's Top 1200 Financial Advisors by Barron’s3. In 2018 and prior years he was named one of the Top 400 Financial Advisors by the Financial Times4. Previously, he was recognized as a top advisor in the Washington Business Journal5, and was selected by On Wall Street Magazine as one of the Top 40 Advisors under 406 in 2010. Ryan attributes this success to his late mentor and friend Norman B. Schrott.

As a student track athlete, Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Missouri Southern State University. He then earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) and Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM (AAMS®) professional certifications.

Ryan enjoys coaching sports and mentoring students when away from the office. He also donates his time and financial support to the following organizations: MS Walk, The Women’s Center, Maryland Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association, Compassion International, and various homeless shelters in the Washington, D.C. area.
Frank E. Key

Frank Key is a Senior Vice President - Investments with Wells Fargo Advisors and brings with him nearly 40 years of industry experience. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Frank joined the Alexandria office of A.G. Edwards as a Financial Advisor in 1981. In 1995 he was named the Branch Manager, a position he continued to hold until 2010 when he chose to focus exclusively on helping his clients meet their financial goals. Today, Frank's area of concentration is employing risk based asset allocation strategies to diversify investments.

In 2007, Frank earned the Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) professional certification. In 2015, he completed coursework in advanced wealth management strategies at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) professional certification. Awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute, candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive examination covering advanced tax planning, asset protection, executive compensation plans, stock options, tax efficient portfolios, retirement planning, charitable planning and estate planning.

In 2019 and prior years Frank was named one of Forbes America’s Top Wealth Advisors1, Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors2 and one of America's Top 1200 Financial Advisors by Barron's3. In 2018 and prior years he was also one of the Top 400 Financial Advisors in the country by the Financial Times4. In 2014 and prior years he was selected by the Washington Business Journal as a NABCAP Premier Wealth Advisor in the Washington, D.C. area5.

Through the years Frank has been an active community volunteer. Frank resides in McLean, Virginia with his wife, Kathy, and enjoys playing tennis and golf in his spare time.

Michael Romano is a Vice President – Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in Alexandria, Virginia. As a partner of the wealth management team, he provides his clients with comprehensive investment advice delivered with exceptional service and professional integrity.

Mike has been in the wealth management industry for more than 12 years. He began his career as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch in Pittsburgh, PA. He then worked on Wall Street as an investment banker for Bank of America Merrill Lynch focusing on financial institution capital markets transactions (mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt placements). Prior to joining the team, he served high net worth clients for the Wells Fargo Private Bank with a focus on complex credit solutions.

Mike earned his master's degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Allegheny College. In 2019 and prior years he was named one of Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors1 and one of the America's Top 1200 Financial Advisors by Barron’s1. He also currently serves on the board for the Sitar Arts Center in Adams Morgan as Head of the Finance Committee.

Mike resides in McLean, Virginia with his wife and three daughters. In his free time he enjoys biking, barbecuing and golf.

    Ellen Cleary is a Managing Director – Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in Alexandria, Virginia. For over 30 years she has had the pleasure of working alongside her clients to help them achieve their financial goals. With a focus on retirement and insurance planning, Ellen builds individualized portfolios for each of her clients' unique needs.

    After Ellen earned her bachelor's degree from Trinity University, she began her career in wealth management as the branch manager for the Capital City Bank in Washington, DC. She then joined Dean Witter, becoming the firm's first female advisor in the Metropolitan DC region. Ellen continued to build her business through the merger with Morgan Stanley and remained there until 2015 when she decided to join Wells Fargo Advisors.

    In 2014 and prior years, Ellen was selected to attend the Barron's Top Women Advisors Summit. She currently serves on the board of the Alexandria Host Lions Club and is an active volunteer in her community and church.

    Ellen resides in Alexandria, Virginia and has three adult children. She enjoys tennis, cooking and long walks with her family pets.

      Tracy Hoben-Shelkin brings over 25 years of financial services experience to the Alexandria Wealth Management Group.

      Since 2012, Tracy has been recognized as a Distinguished Service Professional based on exemplary service and professionalism to clients. She holds the Series 63, 66 and 7 securities registrations and is one of three client associates who manage the day-to-day operations of client accounts.

      A native of Alexandria, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from George Mason University. Tracy is a volunteer and advocate for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. She also volunteers for her children's baseball teams and dance group.

        With over 15 years in the financial services industry, Jared brings extensive experience in operations, compliance and client service.

        Jared graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. In 2018, he was named one of only 50 Elite Service Professionals in the company for delivering outstanding service and displaying strong leadership skills. He also holds the Series 63, 65, and 7 securities registrations and the Virginia Life and Health insurance license.

        Jared enjoys spending his free time on home improvement projects and running after his twin daughters.

          Roxy served as a Service Manager for Wells Fargo Bank before working with the Alexandria Wealth Management Group. Highly organized and thorough, she focuses on providing detail-oriented personal service to clients.

          Roxy graduated from George Mason University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Government and International Politics. She also holds the Series 66 and 7 securities registrations.

          Away from the office, Roxy is a passionate advocate for literacy and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.
