Investment Management for Non-Profit Institutions

For trustees, investment committee members, and other individuals (whom we refer to as “Investment Stewards”) responsible for the management of assets held by foundations, endowments, and other non-profit institutions, we provide independent, objective, unbiased, and cost-effective investment management advice.

Our focus is three-fold:

1.Risk Management – We help you develop, implement, and monitor an investment policy that embodies the principles and standards of prudent investment management including, but not limited to: establishing risk, return and time horizon parameters; diversification and rebalancing guidelines; due diligence criteria for selecting investments; and procedures for controlling and accounting for investment expenses and monitoring performance.

2.Oversight & Communication – Your choices regarding investment strategies and types of investments will be presented and discussed in a thorough and thoughtful manner. Decisions will be documented, and periodic reports will be prepared to compare investment performance to appropriate index, peer group, and investment policy objectives. Qualitative factors will also be considered to help you assess the results and reliability of your investment program.

3.Increased Effectiveness – We will collaborate with your staff and external tax, legal, and other professional advisors, in addition to drawing upon the resources of subject matter experts within The Private Bank, to consider the effectiveness of current policies and procedures, and to continually look for better ways to serve the needs and mission of your organization.
