A founding member and senior partner of Cornerstone Wealth Management, Marc Johnson is actively involved with establishing the team’s macroeconomic outlook, developing and managing our client portfolios, and providing retirement planning and wealth management services including asset allocation, risk management, and retirement planning to our clients.  Marc began his financial services career at EF Hutton in 1985.

Having successfully navigated challenging market conditions such as Black Monday in 1987, the dot-com bubble, 9/11, the financial crisis in 2008-2009 and the Covid-19 pandemic has established him as a calming voice of reason for his clients during turbulent times.

Marc earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in finance from Clarkson University and was the President of the Clarkson University chapter of the mathematics fraternity, Pi Mu Epsilon.  Marc is actively involved in the community and supports many organizations, including CURE Childhood Cancer, Compeer,  School of the Holy Childhood, and The Rochester Community Foundation.  Marc is a former board member of Help Us Give Smiles (HUGS) and former President of the Board of CURE.

Marc and his wife Roberta reside in Pittsford and spend time in the summer at their place on Conesus Lake.  Family is very important to them and they maintain close ties with their two boys and one daughter in law, and are expecting a grandson in July of 2025!

Gene, a Founding Member and Managing Partner of Cornerstone Wealth Management, brings over 30 years of financial services expertise, commencing his career with Smith Barney in 1993.  Throughout this journey, Gene has been steadfast in providing personalized wealth management guidance, assisting clients in asset accumulation, wealth building, retirement planning, and the strategic transition of wealth to future generations.

His holistic approach to navigating the complexities of investment and planning strategies reflects a wealth of experience, particularly in handling challenging market phases.  Gene’s resilience during crises such as the dot-com bubble, 9/11, the 2008-2009 financial crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic, has positioned him as a stabilizing force and voice of reason for clients facing market uncertainties.

Gene’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hobart College and an MBA from Rutgers University.  Holding Series 3, 7, 24, 63, and 66 securities registrations, along with relevant insurance licenses, Gene actively engages with families across multiple states in the U.S.  His commitment to providing insightful and personalized wealth management remains unwavering.

Gene and his wife reside in Webster, and while their children have embarked on their own journeys, they all reside nearby, fostering a close-knit family bond.  Beyond the realm of wealth management, Gene finds enjoyment in pursuits such as golf, fitness, hockey, and fishing.  Yet his greatest passion lies in cherishing moments with his kids and three grandchildren.

Away from the office, Gene actively supports various charities, including CURE Childhood Cancer, Holy Childhood, and the Enlace Project.  His commitment to philanthropy reflects a broader dedication to making a positive impact beyond the financial landscape.

Carol joined Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2005. She serves as lead relationship manager and is actively involved in strategic planning for the team. Carol focuses on investment management, retirement-income planning and insurance needs for our clients. She brings over 25 years of industry experience to the team and holds her series 7, 31, 63, and 65 securities registrations and applicable insurance licenses.

Carol earned her Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and is involved with CURE Childhood Cancer, Villa of Hope, and Habitat for Humanity.

Prior to Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2009, Jack Marino was a financial advisor with Smith Barney for 16 years. Jack focuses on retirement planning and corporate cash management for the team. He graduated from St. John Fisher College in 1969 with a Bachelor's degree and holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations, as well as applicable insurance licenses. Jack is an active member of the McQuaid Jesuit High School Alumni Association.

Todd joined Cornerstone Wealth Management in May of 2021. Todd brings over 25 years of experience in financial services. A Rochester native, Todd attended the McQuaid Jesuit H.S. and then received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Siena College. Todd holds his Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations as well as applicable insurance licenses. Additionally, Todd received his Retirement Income Certified Professional designation from the American College for Financial Planning.

Todd works with a select group of families and business owners to help them build, manage, protect, and ultimately transition wealth to the next generation. He understands that comprehensive wealth management is much more than investments. Todd follows a rigorous, disciplined process that always begins by listening to his client's financial goals and aspirations. He realizes that every client is unique, and they deserve, and receive, a high level of services and attention to detail. 

Todd lives in Fairport with his wife and three children. He gives back to the local community in a variety of ways, through charitable organizations and volunteering.

Zach joined the Cornerstone team in 2024 with a focus on delivering financial planning, asset management, and retirement planning services to clients.

In addition to his five years experience in financial services, Zach holds the Certified Financial Planner designation, representing a standard of excellence for financial advisors. Zach earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from St. John Fisher, where he also captained the Men's Lacrosse team.

Outside the office, Zach enjoys golf, lacrosse, reading and working out. Zach and his wife live in Honeoye Falls.

Victoria began her advisory career at Cornerstone Wealth Management (CWM) in January 2023. She previously worked at CWM on the administrative side of the practice from 2014 – 2018 while obtaining her MBA degree and CPA license.  She spent 5 years in public accounting (though she is no longer practicing) before returning and launching career as a Financial Advisor.  She holds her Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and applicable insurance licenses.

Victoria earned her bachelor’s degree from Centre College (Danville, KY) and an MBA from St. John Fisher College. She brings over ten years of experience in the finance world including time in the banking and public accounting industries.

Victoria is a Rochester native and currently resides in West Irondequoit with her husband and their new addition, Maxwell (born June 2023).

Don Lennox joined the Cornerstone team in June of 2022, overseeing operational needs for our clients. November 2024, Don has made the move to financial advisor and is now working with clients and managing portfolios. Don holds his Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as his NY state Notary commission and recently obtained his QPFC designation. In this role, Don is focused on providing clients with the highest level of wealth management support.

A graduate of SUNY Fredonia, Don earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. Prior to joining Cornerstone Wealth Management, Don worked for WRetail (Wegmans) as a Field Manager.

Outside of the office, Don enjoys cooking new recipes for his wife and two daughters. Don is an avid outdoorsman, he loves to fish, hunt, and run local trails in Rochester.

Sue joined Cornerstone Wealth Management in 2010. An industry professional with more than two decades of experience, Sue is at the core of our operational and client service initiatives. She continually strives to make certain that our clients are not only satisfied in their relationship with us, but that they consistently receive the exemplary service and attention they deserve. Her primary focus is to enhance client relationships by implementing service initiatives and systems. Sue is responsible for administrative issues, report preparation, operational issues and appointment scheduling. She holds her Series 7 and 63 securities registrations.

Beth has over seven years of experience in the financial services industry, and will be responsible for administrative and operational issues, report preparation and appointment scheduling.

She enjoys cooking, shopping, working out, watching her granddaughter, and spending time with her elderly parents in her free time.

 Beth lives in Greece, NY with her husband Steven.
