Ben serves individuals and families in need of retirement planning, insurance, and investment management strategies. He has dedicated his career to servicing a select group of individuals and families as they navigate the landscape of managing, preserving, and transitioning their wealth.


Experience


He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island and began his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley in 2004. His training included attaining Series 7, 31, 66 registrations, along with his producers Life and Health Insurance license. He has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and most recently completing the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation in June, 2022. 

These professional certifications demonstrate an expertise in pre-and post-retirement planning needs including sources of retirement income, personal savings, employer-sponsored retirement plans, income taxes, asset management, estate planning strategies, insurance and risk management.

Ben was recognized as one of “America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors" by Forbes (2017-2019). He is also an eight-time recipient (2013-2021) of the Five Star Wealth Manager Award, achieved by individuals who provide exceptional service based on research with peers, firms, consumers and regulatory sources.

Away from the Office

Ben lives in Rumford, RI and Jensen Beach, FL. He has deep roots in the Rhode Island golf community, having played in college and winning the RI Amateur Championship in 2000. He is Chairman of the Northeast Amateur Invitational held annually at Wannamoisett Country Club and serves on the Executive Board for the Rhode Island Golf Association. Ben has also volunteered his time in the past to the URI Alumni Association and the John P. Burke Scholarship Fund Board.

This award was issued on December 1, 2020, by Five Star Professional (FSP) for the time period December 1, 2020 through November 30, 2021. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP’s consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP’s consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client’s experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
