Our Caring Approach
At Lathrop Helmers Wealth Management, clients come to us for many reasons – at different stages of their lives. Some reach a point where they desire an extra measure of financial acumen and sophistication. Others face multiple financial decisions at emotional times, when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
For all clients, we help create “space and comfort” – so that they’re open to information and insights. To gain a genuine appreciation of a client’s situation, mindset and objectives – and those of their families – we ask questions. And we encourage clients to ask their own. These are questions we often hear:
- “When can I realistically retire and enjoy my current lifestyle – and what should I do beforehand?”
- “My kids deserve to share in my success. How can I help them, without making things too easy?”
- "Now that I’m divorced, can I still afford to travel and support my favorite charity?”
- “My practice is lucrative, but I’m not extravagant. How can I begin to enjoy my achievements now?”
- “How can I be tax-efficient in the short-term and still grow my assets long-term?”
- “How well are my family and our investments hedged from market volatility or loss of my income?”
With no two clients alike, it’s imperative that we spend time with each client. On a given day, we may help women re-establish credit, assist couples in their second marriages with investment aspects of pre-nuptial agreements, explain Social Security and Medicare benefits, and examine the need for wills, powers of attorneys, and other documents.
Over the years, we’ve even recommended trustworthy physicians and babysitters. We’re ready to help – clients deserve nothing less.
