Our Qualifications

The Ratchford Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors has a background in investment planning, with an aggregate of  over 50  years industry experience.  Furthermore, our diverse client base includes: individuals, families, endowment funds, non-profit and religious organizations, as well as various types of retirement plans.

Mr. Ratchford Managing Director-Investments completed the educational requirement of the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM  program through Queens University, and received his CFP® designation in 1999.  He is a registered representative, an investment advisor representative, and is a licensed life and health and long-term care insurance agent.

Jim has been a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, and its predecessors, since 1999.  Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Jim spent 12 years with Bank of America and its predecessor firms as a commercial and private banker.

Mr. Robinson Financial Consultant received his CFP® designation in 2005 and has been in the industry since 2000.  Prior to joining the Ratchford Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, Beau was a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where he completed the Financial Advisor training program.  In addition, Beau was a Financial Planning Analyst at TIAA-CREF prior to his time at Merrill Lynch.  

To earn the CFP® certification and remain certified as a CFP® professional, individuals must satisfy four main requirements: the CFP Board examination, experience, ethics and education.  Certificants must also satisfy continuing education requirements so as to remain current with industry regulations and trends.
