Wealth Transfer Strategies

Our group will help you implement a wealth transfer plan structured to integrate your investment and estate plans utilizing strategies such as those leading to the outcome in the example below.

A Charitable Lead Trust provides a stream of income interest to one or more charities of your choice for a designated number of years and transfer the remaining assets to beneficiaries, or back to yourself, when that period of time ends.

An Irrevocable Living Trust lets a Grantor control use of trust assets through provisions of the trust and selection of successor trustees. Beneficiaries can receive income from the trust and have access to the principal at the trustee’s discretion, per the terms of the trust. Trust assets are protected from the beneficiary’s creditors, divorce, and other types of lawsuits.

A Credit Shelter Trust allows you and your spouse to take advantage of your estate tax exemptions, and minimize estate taxes when passing assets on to heirs. The trust is designed so that upon the death of the first spouse the assets specified in the trust agreement are transferred to the trust without the assets being subject to estate tax.

A Generation-Skipping Trust allows you to provide income to your children over their lifetime with the principal to be distributed to grandchildren, or later generations, estate tax free.
