Located in Greenville, SC, I am a Managing Director –of Investments located in Greenville, SC, backed by over, with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. I am dedicated to helping my clients make once-in-a-lifetime decisions and plan for the changes they may face.

Being able to truly help individuals is what I enjoy most about my job. Finances can be an overwhelming burden for many, whether they’re deciding how to invest a lifetime of savings, what to do with an unexpected inheritance, how to manage the sale of a family business, and how much should be saved for a comfortable retirement. I strive to communicate complex financial information to clients in a way that is easy to understand, so they can. I want my clients to make informed decisions, and I relish the “a-ha” moments I often see clients experience. In my opinion, their understanding of how they’re putting their dollars to work is a sign they’re gaining financial confidence, and that’s how I know I’m making a difference.

Over the course of my career, I’ve developed a simple, yet elegant wealth management practice. We have a very well-defined consultative process that we use for the introduction of all new clients and for servicing and maintaining all client relationships. Investment planning is the foundations which we build upon, and through the firm’s Envision® process, we develop a comprehensive analysis and understanding of the client’s current situation. We then build a roadmap to help them work toward their goals.

I do not outsource the management of our clients’ money to mutual funds or outside managers. For our advisory clients, I utilize the Private Investment Management platform at Wells Fargo Advisors, offering a menu of discretionary portfolio strategies that I directly manage. I leverage the firm's fundamental analysis to determine what to buy, and I use point-and-figure technical analysis to determine when to buy and sell. Though I have a limited number of portfolio strategies defined by investment objective, I am able to create asset allocation strategies that are individually designed for each of my clients based on their unique combination and allocation across my portfolio strategies.

Our wealth management formula is simple: wealth management is the combination of investment management, investment planning, and relationship management.

A true native of upstate South Carolina, I was born and raised in Anderson and attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. I also hold my Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, and 65 registrations and completed the three-year program of the Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. My wife, Elizabeth, and I now reside in Greenville, wherewith we raised our three children, Jim, Mimi, and Joe. In our free time, we enjoy traveling and participating in outdoor activities, especially at Lake Hartwell on the weekends. I love spending time on the water, but during the winter months, there’s nothing I’d rather do than go skiing out west.

Dedicated to giving back to my local community, I served on the President’s Advisory Council and the Alumni Association Board of Wofford College. I have also been an active member of Christ Church Episcopal, having served as co-chair of the most recent capital campaign, as an elected member to the Vestry, and as the annual giving committee chair. Additionally, I am a graduate of Leadership Greenville’s 35th Class, the past Board Chairman and Campaign Chairman for Foothills United Way, and the past President and Board Chairman of Anderson Arts Center.

 

I am a Vice President – Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors in Greenville, SC, with over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry. Although originally from Richmond, Virginia, I moved to the upstate at 18 years old and never left.  Early in my career, a drive and passion for managing client portfolios led me to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst designation®.  I am a proud graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in financial management.

The stock market has always fascinated me, and I believed I would work in the financial industry from a very young age. As a child, I remember looking through annual stock reports with my dad, and then reading Warren Buffet’s biography in my teen years. I have two primary roles on our team. One, I help manage investment portfolios that aim to preserve and grow clients’ assets, and two, I create personalized plans designed to guide clients through all stages of life.

My wife, Liz, and I reside in Greenville with our four young children, George, Betsy, Gigi, and Maggie.  Away from the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, playing golf, cooking on my Big Green Egg, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

I believe giving back to the community is very important. I am an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, have held multiple past leadership roles with The United Way, and organize an annual canned food drive for Loaves and Fishes every Thanksgiving.

 

As a Financial Advisor, it’s important that I’m able to build upon clients’ financial knowledge so they can make informed decisions. I enjoy cultivating new relationships and connecting with individuals on a deeper level to create a relationship that goes beyond the numbers. I’m driven by the knowledge that I’ll be there for them through many major life events such as retirement, the birth of grandchildren, and I’ll be there for their loved ones after their passing. It’s an honor to guide these individuals and families through our wealth management process and provide an investment plan designed to give them confidence. The moment when an individual’s feelings about retirement turn from uncertainty and fear to knowing they have a plan in place is truly special.

My role within our team is identifying potential prospective clients and introducing them to our team and wealth management process. We place a heavy emphasis on a thorough approach in our discovery phase that leads to a personalized investment plan and investment recommendations.

I am a Greenville native who loves the upstate of South Carolina. I was lucky enough to find the love of my life here and am thankful every day for my beautiful wife, Aneeqa. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Wofford College. My main passions are the outdoors, hiking, and camping and in my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and disc golf. I also have a hound mix, Kaira, who is always ready for a walk or adventure (but mainly belly rubs).

The Greenville community has done so much for me. In an effort to try to give back, I participate in Habitat for Humanity builds and food deliveries for Meals on Wheels. I am always seeking out new opportunities to improve the lives of those less fortunate in Greenville and the surrounding areas.

I am a Senior Client Associate in Greenville, SC with The Yarbrough Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. My primary focus is helping my team and our clients with administrative processes, including paperwork, account maintenance and opening, general research, and much more. I take pride in being an individual that clients can trust and am passionate about helping them.

I grew up and still live in Greenville, where I lead a book club, enjoy tending to my plants, love to cook and feed people, and spend relaxing weekends in the mountains when I need to go to my happy place. I am passionate about traveling, both international and domestic. I often go out on the lake with my family, who means a great deal to me and with whom I spend a lot of time. I also enjoy early morning cups of coffee and could never refuse a pastry.

Giving back to my community has always been very important to me, and it’s a quality I learned from my grandparents. I currently support the Alzheimer’s Association, Center for Developmental Services, Meals on Wheels, and Happy Wheels.
